A COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE
Since 1988 Santa Clara Girls Soccer Camps has strived to create a positive environment developing the confidence, motivation, and discipline necessary for further success on and off the field. Not only will players be challenged by our curriculum, their involvement will enhance life skills while creating new friendships with fellow players. Most importantly, we wish that all players leave with fond memories to share for years to come!
"Santa Clara Girls Soccer Camps was such a fun experience for me when I was growing up. Being active all day on and off the field and learning from some of the best coaches really helped me elevate my game and bring about more passion, excitement, and inspiration for what it means to be a better soccer player"
- Aly Wagner, former Santa Clara Bronco, US National Team and Professional Soccer Player
The Day Camp is for players ages 6 - 12 with an emphasis on technical development. The training sessions will cover such topics as dribbling, passing and receiving, heading and finishing. Campers will spend quality time with the ball at their feet. Small sided games, with low numbers in appropriate space, will be included to promote more touches on the ball.
*We currently do not offer a Goalkeeper option for our Day Camp Sessions*
RESIDENTIAL (ID) CAMP:
A Super Skills portion of camp is tailored to the player ages 10 - 13 with an emphasis on basic and enhanced technical development. The training sessions will cover such topics as dribbling, passing and receiving, heading and finishing. All technical sessions will progress under the pressure of time and space and / or an opponent.
The ID section of camp is tailored to the player ages 14 - 17 with a focus on advanced technical development. An appropriate emphasis will be placed on individual, group (positional), and team tactical development based on skill level and age. Technical topics such as dribbling, passing, heading and finishing will be addressed. Tactical field sessions will be focused on positional play, awareness and reading the game, off the ball movement and combination play in the middle and attacking third of the field.
Our Residential (ID) Camp has a goalkeeping option. The focus of the Santa Clara Goalkeeper Camp is to improve the technical, tactical and physical aspects of the goalkeeper position. Aspects of technical goalkeeping included: catching and handling, reaction, diving, high balls, angle play, footwork and distribution. There will be goalkeeper training in the morning and afternoon sessions. Goalkeepers will then be integrated into full sided matches in the evening. Coaching staff will be present to provide technical and tactical feedback.
Bring your team, train as a team.
This is a great opportunity for overall team development. We will be happy to accommodate groups requesting to train and room together. To be considered a full team for the purposes of forming a camp team, we must have at least 12 of your team's field players enroll as a group. This is done most efficiently by having a team manager contact the camp director with a list of names. If the number drops below 12 before camp begins we will no longer be able to guarantee all players will be placed together on the same camp team.
WE DO NOT OFFER TEAM DISCOUNTS
